Sixtus is a Senior Associate in our top-ranked dispute resolution practice and an experienced litigator who has handled a variety of high-stakes disputes, including complex commercial litigation, labour and employment, restructuring and bankruptcy-related litigation, shipping and international trade, environmental pollution litigation, securities litigation, and intellectual property matters.
He represents clients in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the country during all stages of litigation, from pre-action strategy formulation to trial and appeal, and in mediations. Sixtus also regularly provides pre-litigation counselling and strategic advice and advises on transaction-related litigation risk among others.
As an arbitration practitioner, he was in 2018, seconded to the International Arbitration Group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London under the International Lawyers for Africa Secondment Programme after emerging as one of the successful applicants. He was also part of the successful cohort in the 2023 Africa Arbitration Academy Programme.
