Hannah Fortune is a commercially minded lawyer with a strong focus on Energy, Company Secretarial Practice, and Legal Advisory. She combines legal expertise with business insight, helping clients and companies steer through complex transactions, governance, and compliance challenges while supporting their commercial growth.
Her practice spans oil and gas, power (including renewable energy), corporate governance, and regulatory advisory. She has been involved in due diligence for the acquisition of several oil and gas assets, advised on significant power and infrastructure transactions, and provided company secretarial support, working closely with boards and executives to strengthen governance frameworks and ensure compliance. She also assists with the drafting of laws, policies, and regulations, bringing practical, sector-specific input into Nigeria’s evolving energy and business landscape.
With a business-oriented approach, Hannah understands both the legal and commercial dimensions of client needs, providing solutions that are practical, strategic, and growth-focused.
Outside of work, she is passionate about learning new skills and trades. She is a trained mixologist and bead-maker, reflecting her multi-faceted personality and love for creativity. She also enjoys keeping things light with a good sitcom.
